Site Analysis is the very first step in architectural design, dedicated to the study of the climatic, geographical, historical, legal, and infrastructural context of a specific site. This usually goes hand-in-hand with due diligence, but can be done alone. We do sun study charts, visit your site at sunrise, mid-day and sunset to photograph the light and experience the wind patterns, and can fly drones up to see what your views might be from a second floor. We will note the context that your building will be set within, noting the buildings’ style, orientation, and fenestration to either side. Finally providing a Site Analysis Report, for either our design team, or your architect to work with, prior to the beginning of the design process.
